How WyseWord handles your information. Last updated 2026.
WyseWord collects no usage telemetry. No analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no feature-usage counters, no phone-home of any kind. The shipping product makes no network connections except the two documented below.
Document content is never transmitted, uploaded, or processed externally. All comparison, OCR, and formatting operations happen entirely on your machine. Temporary files are created in a WyseWord-specific directory, inherit user security descriptors, and are deleted on completion.
Update check (`updates.wyseword.com/manifest.json`) sends only product version, OS version, and Office version. Online activation (`license.wyseword.com/activate`) sends only the license key and machine hash. Both are optional and disableable by Group Policy.
If you contact us or purchase a license, we collect the details you provide — name, email, organization, and purchase information — to deliver and support the product. We do not sell personal data.
WyseWord writes structured logs to `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Datarox\WyseWord\logs\` with rotation. Logs never contain document content. A "Collect diagnostics" command produces an inspectable zip that the user can choose to send — or not.
